No doubt that article marketing is effective in putting your online as well as your offline business out there. Best of all, it can be free. Now that you have written quite a number of articles already, your next concern should be how to get people to read what you have to say. This may be harder to do now than before when the Web has less articles circulating around.

The reality about article marketing also is that you have to work substantially to get your piece read by your target market. That’s why it’s imperative for you to know what you are doing and to remember some useful tips to get your articles read. Here are some ways to ensure you reach your target audience:

1. To get you going, you should write about things that sparks your interest. The bad thing is that there are many of you who are interested in the same topic and they are writing what they know about it, too. This is where your creativity and wit come in handy. Research the Web a bit about similar topics and strive to be different from what you see.

2. Spark your readers attention from the get go. Start with an attention grabbing title or headline. Your first paragraph should also summarize what your readers can expect to learn if they continue reading your article. Remember that people would often read the first paragraph only, and if they don’t like what they see, they will drop your article in an instant. The secret of proper article marketing strategy is to Insert some keywords in your title or headline, too, for search engine spiders to rank your article in searches.

3. Strive to create a piece that’s easy to read and understand. That means to say avoid deep vocabulary and jargon,  you don’t want to sound esoteric to your readers. Short paragraphs also works best compared to longer ones. If you can’t avoid writing technical terms, it pays to explain it a bit to your readers in the most understandable way even to the untrained.

4. Impart what you know about the topic to your readers. Be sympathetic to your readers who might be discovering about the topic for the first time. And inject some humor into your piece to make it exiting to read.

5. Remember that your readers are after for information. So don’t include sales pitch in your piece. Just answer all the possible questions they might have about your niche.

 6. And, you don’t want to put your effort to waste. So put your back links to your website in your resource box at the end.
